CAÏPIRINHA

Like the cachaça from which it is derived, the caipirinha is part of Brazil's cultural heritage. The taste qualities of TIJUCA Single Organic Cachaça optimize the enjoyment of this timeless cocktail, both simple and delicious.

INGREDIENTS

  • 5cl de TIJUCA SOC
  • 1 Small lime
  • 2 to 3 teaspoons powdered cane sugar
  • Crushed ice

INGREDIENTS

1.Cut both ends off a lime.

2.Cut into quarters and remove the white membrane (to avoid bitterness).

3.Cut the quarters into two equal halves.

4.Place the eight pieces in a glass and add the cane sugar.

5.Gently pound the mixture to dissolve the sugar in the lemon juice.

6.Add TIJUCA SOC

7.Add crushed ice

8.Stir with a spoon and enjoy with or without a straw.

    Jeremy's secret *:
    Traditionally, caipirinha is made with white cachaça (aged or unaged). A more sophisticated version can be made with TIJUCA BBR (see CAÏPIRINHA MORENA). In this case, only half a lemon should be used, to preserve the rum's subtle aromas.
